- You will be asked to provide a valid ID, your SSN, and banking information.

You must be at least 18 to open an account with us online. As an existing member, you won’t need to re-submit your SSN or ID to open an additional account with Quorum.

Yes, simply log in to your Quorum account via our mobile banking app, select “More,” then “Open,” then “Checking/Savings” to access the application.

What started with a low-interest first mortgage refinance has turned into a first mortgage, two credit cards, a high yield savings account, fee free checking account and a checking reserve account. I’m interested in opening a checking/savings account with Quorum. Do they perform a hard/soft pull credit inquiry when reviewing the application?
A hard pull or soft pull can occur when you open a new checking or savings accounts from an online banking, credit union, or financial institution. A hard pull (which typically happens when a lender checks your credit report to make a lending decision; for instance, when applying for a mortgage) can (temporarily) slightly lower your credit score, and will typically stay on your credit report for two years. A soft pull, on the other hand, is an inquiry performed by a financial institution on your credit report, but does not affect your credit score in any way.
When Quorum reviews a checking or savings account application, we may perform a soft pull on an applicant’s credit report through one of the three major credit reporting agencies (TransUnion, Experian, Equifax) for verification purposes, and also run the name through ChexSystems to see if there is a report in their system. Neither of these actions will impact an applicant’s credit score in any way.
Can I switch checking accounts?
Yes, it’s easy to switch checking accounts. Follow the steps below to get started:
- Log in to online/mobile banking.
- Select “Account Services.”
- Under “More Services,” click “Checking Account Change Request.”
- Complete the form, and then click “Submit.”
Please note, if you are trying to switch to a new QPlus Checking and you have an existing Overdraft Line-of-Credit (Checking Reserve) linked to the checking account you are attempting to switch from, you must close your Overdraft Line-of-Credit (Checking Reserve) and pay off any remaining balance on that account prior to switching to QPlus Checking.
I switched checking accounts types. Will my current ATM card or MICR account number change?
If you switch checking account types, your ATM card and MICR number will not change.
If you request a new checking account suffix, the MICR will change. This may also affect the checking account linked to your ATM Card.
If you need to confirm the checking account linked to your card, please either send us a secure message by logging in to online banking and clicking on “More” from the main menu, then “Message Center,” or contact us at (800) 874-5544, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET.
How do I set up Direct Deposit with Quorum?
To initiate a direct deposit through your employer, use our ABA Routing & Transit Number 221981335 and your Quorum checking or savings account information when setting up this service with your employer.
Please use the following account number formats to ensure the funds are deposited/withdrawn appropriately:
- For savings accounts: Provide your account number (also known as your member number) and suffix without dashes. For example, your account number is 123456 and your savings account suffix is 0000, you would use 1234560000. You can view your suffix(es) in online banking. The suffix is the four-digit number listed after the dash in the number under each account name.
- For checking accounts: Provide the 14-digit account number located on the bottom of your Quorum checks. (You do not need your member number or suffix.) You can also find this in online banking by clicking on your checking account, then the “Account Details” tab above your transaction history.
How do I make a mobile deposit?
To deposit a check using our mobile banking app, follow these instructions:
- Download the Quorum mobile banking app for iOS or Android.
- Select “Deposit” from the main menu.
- Review the Deposit Notice and then click on the ‘Got it, let’s go’ button.
- Follow the prompts to deposit your check:
- Select an eligible account from the drop down to deposit the check into.
- Enter the deposit amount.
- Tap the “Front of Check” icon and follow the on-screen prompts. The app will automatically take a picture of the front of check.
- Afterwards, the app will proceed to the “Back of Check” Image Capture screen. Follow the on-screen prompts. The app will automatically take a picture of the back of check.
- Click “Submit Deposit” to deposit your check.

How do I set up a credit/debit card alert?
Credit/Debit Alerts will only alert you when a transaction is made using your Quorum Credit/Debit MasterCard®. Other transactions, such as checks or electronic transfers using your checking account number, will not trigger a credit/debit alerts.
How to set up card alerts:
Be sure to have your Credit/Debit Card handy before you start.
- For Credit Alerts visit: Credit Alerts Registration page
- Click on “Register Now”
- Complete registration by following the onscreen prompts.
- Once registration is complete, you’ll be automatically logged in to the Credit Card Alerts Management platform where you can set up new Alerts.
- For Debit Alerts visit: Debit Alerts Registration page
- Click on “Register Now.”
- Complete the registration by following the onscreen prompts.
- Once registration is complete, you’ll be asked to log in to the Debit Card Alerts Management platform where you can set up new Alerts.
How do I set up alerts and notifications in online banking or mobile banking?
We offer text alerts to keep you updated on your balance, account activity, upcoming payments and more! You can set up your alerts via online banking or the mobile app.
Desktop:
First, enable SMS text messages behind online banking.
- Log in to online banking.
- At the top right-hand corner of the screen, click on “Settings.”
- Click on the “Contact” tab.
- Under Phone Numbers, click on the pencil icon next to your mobile number.
- Select, “I would like to receive SMS text messages to this number.”
- Click on “Save Changes.”
Once you’ve enabled SMS text messages, you can set up an alert/notification.
- From the main navigation, under “More,” click on “Account Alerts.”
- Select any one of the main Alert options displayed on the screen. Each option will give you a list of alerts you can activate/deactivate.
- Click on the Alert you wish to set up, then choose the delivery method (SMS/Email). Please note, Alert set up options may vary based on the type of alert you choose.

What happens to my QBoost Checking account if I’m no longer receiving direct deposits from my employer or funding source?
You will earn the current Basic Savings Account rate. View current rates here.
Are there a minimum number of deposits I have to make into a QBoost checking account per month?
For QBoost checking accounts, you must meet the account requirements in order to waive any monthly service charge, that includes establishing and maintaining monthly direct deposits with an aggregate balance of $500.
What is Annual Percentage Yield (APY)?
APY is the amount of dividends you earn on money you deposit into a savings accounts (including high-yield savings accounts), over the course of a year. How often dividends are compounded is also figured into the APY.
If you are considering two or more bank accounts for your savings, it pays to compare the APY on each for the full picture on how much your money and account balance can earn over a year.
What is the significance of the APY? In its simplest form, the higher the APY, the more money you earn. If you have $25,000 invested in a one-year term account with a 2.86% APY, at the end of the year, you will have earned $715. With a 2.50% APY, your return would be $625.
You may see a higher annual percentage yield (APY) on accounts that have a higher minimum deposit and a longer commitment for how long you must keep the money in the savings account. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the terms and conditions of any bank account you open.
What are dividends?
Dividends are essentially credit-union-speak for interest. It’s the money we pay you for leaving your deposits with us.
Are my funds insured with Quorum?
Your Quorum accounts are insured up to $250,000 per person by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF). Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA) are insured separately up to $250,000. The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), a federal agency, administers the insurance fund and regulates federally insured credit unions. The fund is backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. Government.
Depending on how your accounts are owned and what types of accounts you have, you can potentially increase the total insurance on your funds to greater than $250,000.

If you have already utilized the Share Insurance Estimator and still have additional questions, you can also reach out to the NCUA Consumer Assistance Center at (800) 755-1030. Do you offer Zelle®?
Yes. Zelle is available in Quorum’s mobile banking app.
To access Zelle, follow these instructions:
- Log in to the Quorum mobile banking app.
- Click on “More.”

Please note, if you previously used your Quorum account in the standalone Zelle app, you will be forced to re-enroll in Zelle via the Quorum mobile banking app and you will no longer be able to conduct transactions with your Quorum account via the standalone Zelle app.
*A Few Things You Should Know
1Annual Percentage Yield (APY) is in effect as of 07/01/24 and subject to change. You must establish and maintain monthly direct deposits with an aggregate balance of $500 AND conduct at least ten debit card transactions per month in order to earn the APY and rate. Balances up to $5,000 earn 4.00% APY (3.93% rate). Balances above $5,000 earn 0.50% APY (0.49% rate). If you do not meet the requirements to earn the rate, your balances will earn 0.01% APY (0.01% rate). Dividends are paid on all funds on deposit and are posted monthly. This is a variable rate account.
2Paper Statement Fee: A $2.00 monthly fee will be incurred if you don’t enroll and maintain eStatements.
3ATM Fee Reimbursements: ATM fees incurred will be reimbursed up to $20 per month and will be automatically deposited into your account on the 2nd business day of the following month.
4Early Direct Deposit: Early availability is not guaranteed and may vary from deposit to deposit. Funds availability depends on when we receive the payor’s payment instructions, any limitations we set on the amount of early availability, and standard fraud prevention screening. Eligible deposits are electronic deposits made through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) to your personal account including but not limited to items such as your payroll, pension, and government benefit payments. Other deposits or credits to your account, such as deposits of funds from person-to-person payment services (e.g., Zelle®, Venmo, or PayPal transfers), check or mobile deposits, and other online transfers or electronic credits are not eligible for early availability.
