Congratulations to our college-bound members who were awarded scholarships from Quorum and the Westchester-Rockland Chapter of the New York Credit Union Association!*
The competition was open to high school seniors who are Quorum members and will be enrolled in a two- or four-year college program for the first time in the fall of 2017. Each scholarship was presented in the amount of $500.
Estefan Santi of Lyndhurst, NJ won $500 from the Westchester-Rockland Chapter scholarship, as well as a $500 scholarship from Quorum; Kyra Kabulis of Brookfield, CT, and Meaghan Downey of Wilton, CT, were also awarded $500 scholarships from Quorum.

Estefan Santi has enrolled in Stevens Institute of Technology and is interested in pursuing a degree in chemical biology. He was a part of his high school’s bowling, track, and varsity soccer teams for all four years, as well as the chess, robotics, music and drama clubs. Estefan was also one of the top five students from his graduating class and was a part of the National Honor Society for three of his four years of high school. |

Kyra Kabulis will attend the University of Connecticut to study secondary foreign language education. She was an officer of the BHS chapter of the National Honor Society and served as the race director for the We Care 5K this past spring. A dancer since age 2, Kyra has performed leading roles in The Nutcracker and A Midsummer’s Night Dream. Kyra also earned the Girl Scout Gold Award for her 102-hour project at a local assisted living facility. |

Meaghan Downey will attend Dickinson College in the fall, studying Political Science and History. In high school, she was captain of the cross country and basketball teams as well as a varsity track & field member. In addition, Meaghan was the Vice President of the National Honor Society and Key Club. She is active in her church as an altar server and a member of the Diocese of Bridgeport Choir for Youth. |
