Mt. Vernon, New York teacher Marco Damiano, All Hallows High School
Purchase, NY, October 5, 2022 – Quorum’s recent donation to The Council for Economic Education (CEE) allowed Mt. Vernon, NY teacher Marco Damiano to attend the 61st Annual Financial Literacy & Economic Education Conference earlier this month. This sponsorship enabled one more teacher to learn and pass on knowledge that will give students a grasp on the basic principles of the American economic system and access to the tools to be successful within it.
“I was honored to attend CEE’s Financial Literacy and Economic Education Conference for the first time this year,” said Damiano. “Thanks to Quorum’s scholarship, I was able to learn best practices and alternative ways of teaching from educators of all backgrounds and grade levels.”
Over 350 people attended CEE’s conference, including 160 K-12 educators representing 26 states and Washington D.C.
